Derek Gores; Born 1971.
Derek creates gorgeous Collages, abstract art pieces, mixed media pieces, and drawings.
His art is beautiful and his collages are amazing. He says on his website -
"I like my pictures to barely come together with teasing little details. Sort of like how the mind can't help but wander, even when trying to focus on one thing. In the collages, some of the little bits I use are deliberate, but in most I'm trusting randomness to help build an end result more interesting than I could have planned. Florence and the Machine.  Florence is a beautiful red head women with a great mind and a voice you can listen to forever. Florence writes her best songs when she is drunk or hungover because that when she has freedom.  “I want my music to sound like throwing yourself out of a tree, or off a tall building, or as if you’re being sucked down into the ocean and you can’t breathe,” says Florence Welch. “It’s something overwhelming and all-encompassing that fills you up, and you’re either going to explode with it, or you’re just going to disappear.”

Teddy Meyer

     Teddy Meyer is a photographer that takes pictures that mean something to him. When you look at his photographs you are seeing the world through his eyes.
His work has a slightly vintage feel and I love his use of color. His photographs are simply original and creative. He said in a interview with lomography.com  "I love the thrill and adventure of a new experience, and being part of the moments I captured." He also said that most of his adventures involve tresspassing, his last was a trailer park. That fact that he takes risks to get a great picture is amazing. I find his work to be inspiring and I hope you will to.

Julie de Waroquier

                             Julie is a 21 year old french photographer. She takes pictures that are made in reality but don't seem quite real. She takes surreal/conceptual images that look like they were meant for a modern day fairy tale. Her images are beautiful and mesmirizing and I couldn't get enough of them. Her question to herself was this: "How can one create, re-create reality and what is seen, with an art which precisely duplicates the world as it is?." I think you can find the answer in her photos. Her photography is not only photography, but pure artwork and imagination.

MGMT

MGMT, a band that is a strange between of eclectic brainy pop with psychedelic overtones and pure amazingness.  They have a beautiful balance of great music and trippy music videos. They started in 2002 when Ben Goldwasser and Andrew Van Wyngarden's  freshman year as art students began.
